On Saturday, May 30th from 8 am to 10am High Tech High is hosting its 1st annual Kids for Kids 5k Fun Run/Walk at High Tech Chula Vista. The Kids for Kids run is a service learning project to benefit the students at the Monarch school which is a local school that serves a student population impacted by homelessness. There are many children in our community who are currently experiencing homelessness and/or a traumatic family experience. Check out this Ted Talk about the Monarch School.
In addition, the event showcases the power of service to others to High Tech High students; building a mindset toward service learning.
Please consider attending this community run and supporting the cause!
Cost is $15 and you can register at this link http://kids4kidsfunrun.weebly.com/ or register the day of the event.
