The South Bay Rapid project is a $113 million effort to provide travelers with a frequent and reliable transit choice. The 21-mile route will run between the Otay Mesa Port of Entry through Chula Vista to Downtown San Diego, connecting residents to employment and activity centers. Construction will take approximately two years, and Rapid service is expected to begin in South Bay in 2018.
