Squeeze the day at the 22nd annual Lemon Festival presented by Third Avenue Village Association in Chula Vista’s original neighborhood on Sunday, August 5.
Sweet sour summer fun will fill Third Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at no cost to the community to celebrate Chula Vista’s historic reign as the lemon capital of the world. Third Avenue will close to traffic and open to hundreds of vendor booths welcoming over 45,000 eager attendees rejoicing in this juicy jubilee. Sport your brightest yellow outfit and enjoy lemon-infused activities, live bands, sour contests, family fun, a lemony beverage bar, and lemon infused treats.
Local bands will garnish the Lemonade Bandstand with tangy tunes between the lemony contests offering attendees the opportunity to compete for prizes. All guests are encouraged to wear their appealing yellow attire to showcase their Chula Vista pride.
Overflowing with interactive features and giveaways from event sponsors and community partners MTS, NBC Universal, and Sullivan Solar Power, this over neighborhood tradition is more refreshing than the fresh-squeezed lemonade offered in abundance.
Bring your family, friends and your main squeeze to Third Avenue on Sunday, August 5. Don’t worry about looking for parking—MTS takes you right to Lemon Festival! Take the UC San Diego Blue Line Trolley to E St. and connect with Route 705; or trolley to H St. and catch Route 701 to the festivities.
