Hazardous Materials Incident Commander

This is a classroom-based course designed to provide the tools needed to assume control of an emergency response to a hazardous materials incident. It focuses on how to assess hazards, manage risk, comply with legal requirements and implement protective actions. This program meets OSHA and NFPA recommendations for training at the Incident Commander level. This class also meets CalOSHA training requirements. Additionally, this course serves as the pre-requisite for CSFT Company Officer 2D: All-Risk Command Operations.

• Prerequisite: ICS-200 and Hazards Materials First Responder Operations
  • Scanned copy of certificate will be requested when confirmed for the class.
• Maximum of 24 students, minimum of 20 students are needed 7 days prior to start date or it will be cancelled.
• Cost Free
• Students will be notified approximately one week prior to the start of class if it is cancelled.

 Registrants have sole responsibility to communicate event information to their agency supervisor / liaison.

Failure to appear for registered training (“No Show”) or cancellation within 10 days prior to the event, may impair ability to register for future training.
