Maraya Performing Arts will host a Q&A with Romi Herrada from the hit Paramount Plus TV series, "My Dream Quincenera." Romi and her parents will lead a panel discussion titled, “Working in the Entertainment Industry 101."
Attendees will learn first hand tips and tricks for auditioning and booking work in the entertainment industry including: TV, print, and stage.
In celebration of Filipino American History month, proceeds from the event will provide performing art scholarships for Filipino/x/a students at Maraya Performing Arts to participate in their upcoming production of Disney’s Moana Jr. The creative team for Moana Jr. including the Director, Choreographer, and Music Directors of Moana Jr. are all of Filipino descent. Auditions for Moana Jr. are scheduled for January 3 - 4, 2023. Students ages 7-18 are encouraged to sign up to audition.
