Bring the family on Sunday, December 4, when the City and Downtown Chula Vista Association present Starlight Nights from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. with an official tree lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. on the northwest corner of Memorial Park, 373 Park Way. While there will not be a holiday parade this year, many other activities are planned. Children can enjoy rides on Santa’s Holiday Train and ride through downtown Chula Vista while parents enjoy shopping at local unique businesses and at the Holiday Market, curated by Las Jefas Market and Downtown Chula Vista Association. Live musical performances will be on the stage near the historic Third Avenue sign throughout the evening, and the jolly man himself, Santa, will be making an appearance.
New this year is a 25-foot tall tree which will be a beautiful addition to the festive holiday lighting throughout downtown with 28,800 LED lights and 26 five-foot tall lighted snowflakes installed on streetlight poles along Third Avenue. The lighting displays will remain through early January 2023.
