The Chula Vista Police Department is partnering with local agencies to get unwanted guns off our streets. 

Join us for a Gun Safety Event on:

Saturday, July 29
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
South Bay Courthouse (Parking Lot)
500 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista

Turn in your unwanted gun and receive a gift card ($100 for handguns, rifles and shotguns and $200 for assault weapons and ghost guns). Remain anonymous. No questions asked. Firearms must be in working order.

Prior to arriving, place the unloaded firearm in the trunk of your vehicle. A deputy or officer will provide instructions. All weapons collected will be destroyed.

We are also providing FREE gun cable locks and security boxes (while supplies last) to people looking to secure firearms kept in their homes.
