Several Chula Vista Departments will participate in a Love Your Heart event with Live Well San Diego during Love Your Heart month to encourage residents to take care of their heart.

The Chula Vista Fire, Animal Care and Library Departments have teamed up to offer a story time featuring an adoptable pet from the Animal Care Facility. Story time is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon and will include Animal Care staff and Chula Vista Firefighters reading to children.

Live Well San Diego staff will offer free blood pressure screenings and Chula Vista firefighters will provide free vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a walk-in basis. The vaccinations include flu, COVID-19, MonkeyPox (Mpox) and Hepatitis A. In addition, Fire personnel will teach hands only CPR as well as showcase the latest training advancements of CPR.
