The Chula Vista Police Department needs volunteers for its Senior Volunteer Patrol (SVP) program! SVP duties include non-critical/non-hazardous tasks such as vacation checks, abatement notices, and minor parking citations. No law enforcement experience is needed. Applicants age 50+ with good moral character are encouraged to apply!

The academy is scheduled for October 7-11, 2024 (4.5 days) from 8 am to 4 pm. Prior to attending the academy, applicants must schedule a ride-along (to see if they like it), and complete background investigation forms (given after ride-along).
