The Girls Inspiring Real Leadership in STEAM (G.I.R.L.S.) Conference, co-hosted by FRC team TitanBot 2543 and Eastlake High School SWENext, provides 6th-12th grade students with an opportunity to listen to female role models in STEAM as they speak about their experience in their respective fields. There will also be a Q & A panel, at which seven panelists will answer questions from attendees. The event will also include a networking luncheon, where attendees can talk with female professionals and collegiate students, in addition to male allies.
This year's conference is themed, "X Marks the Spot: Discovering Hidden Stories," with a focus on inspiring attendees to make their voices heard and to leave their legacy in whichever path they decide to pursue. Our hope with this conference is to create a welcoming workplace for everyone interested in STEAM.
Join our five speakers on Saturday, September 7th from 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. at the Eastlake Middle School Pavilion.
