Role and Function
Pursuant to the City of Chula Vista Charter § 600 and Municipal Code Chapter 2.65, the Privacy Protection and Technology Advisory Commission receives public input and serves as a resource to advise the City Council on the City’s technology use policies, surveillance technology impact, procurement standards for agreements involving sensitive or surveillance technology, and to provide recommendations to the City Council on the acquisition of surveillance technology to improve sensitive personal information management, security, and privacy.
The Commission is composed of eight members appointed to staggered four-year terms. As listed below, all terms expire on June 30th of the year. Click here to APPLY for the Commission
