Role and Function 

Pursuant to the City of Chula Vista Charter § 600 and Municipal Code Chapter 2.61, The Measure P Citizens' Oversight Committee ("COC") was created for the purpose of implementing Section 3.33.160.D of Measure P. Measure P is a temporary one-half cent sales tax measure approved by the voters on November 8, 2016. The function of the COC is to review and report on City compliance with the provisions of Measure P, particularly with respect to the City's accounting and expenditure of Measure P revenues.

The board is composed of nine members, consisting of five At-Large members, with at least one from each Council district, and four Designated Members selected from candidates nominated by the Nominating Authorities listed below. Members are  appointed to a four-year term. All terms expire on June 30th on the year listed below. Click here to APPLY for the Commission

3 - San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council, 4 - San Diego County Taxpayers Association, 5 - Parks and Recreation Commission, and 6- Sustainability Commission
