South Bay Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility
Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City and Unincorporated San Diego County residents can dispose of household toxics at the South Bay Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility FREE of charge. No appointment is necessary.
Residents who live in a city not specifically listed above should visit their city’s website or wastefreesd.org.

Please bring a valid California Driver's License, Identification Card or a recent utility bill for proof of residency.
This facility will be closed the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Juneteenth, Independence Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day if observed on a Wednesday or Saturday.

The California Department of Transportation limits the transport of hazardous waste to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle. Please drive safely!
Free home pick-up is available to disabled and/or elderly residents who do not have the ability to transport their household hazardous waste to us. Please call (619) 691-5122 to see if you qualify for free home pick-up of your household hazardous waste.
If you are bringing fuel (gasoline, diesel, etc.) to this facility, please note that the container you transport the fuel in CANNOT be returned to you.
BUSINESS-GENERATED WASTE
Qualifying businesses in Chula Vista can dispose of hazardous waste at no cost.
Apartment/condo managers, non-profit/religious organizations may also qualify.
