All Short-Term Rentals (STRs) located within the City of Chula Vista limits must be registered and certified per Chula Vista Municipal Code (CVMC) 3.40.060. The City has implemented a program to assist STR operators to register their property(s) and remit Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT). The City has partnered with Deckard Technologies, a nationally recognized company that specializes in identifying and monitoring Short Term Rentals. Registration to obtain a Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate (TOTC)  and to remit Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT) for Chula Vista Short-Term Rental properties is available at Deckard Short Term Rental Portal.
