In May of 2023 the Chula Vista Fire Department entered into a partnership with the Safe Kids San Diego and the Kiwanis (CA/NV/HI) to help bring awareness to issues that can impact a child's life.  CVFD crews have been trained to look for ways to improve child safety in the home and have been empowered to make real changes by offering tangible assets to families, such as window locks or a pack-n-play sleep surface.
