Earn Your High School Diploma & Receive Job Training
The Chula Vista Public Library is excited to offer Career Online High School (COHS), a free program for eligible adults looking to earn their high school diploma. Gain the skills you need to succeed through a flexible, supportive, online program.
By following the 5 steps below, qualified applicants can complete a 5-18 month online high school degree program. These classes are held entirely online which means students can access coursework around their own schedule 24/7.
- Prospective students must complete the online self-assessment.
- If eligible for COHS, students must register and complete a two-week prerequisite course.
- If eligible for a scholarship, library staff will contact prospective students to schedule an interview.
- Prospective students will attend a scholarship interview session at the library.
- Selected students will have access to courses within 3-5 days after being awarded a scholarship.
Selected students will:
- Have support from certified instructors and an academic coach.
- Earn an accredited high school diploma while preparing for a career in one of 8 high-demand, high- growth fields.
- Graduate with the tools to advance in your profession or take the next step in your education.
- Earn both a high school diploma and a Certificate in a high demand career area
To apply for a scholarship for Career Online High School applicants must:
- Be at least 19 years old.
- Live in Chula Vista.
- Take the self-assessment.
- Have a Chula Vista library card in good standing (CLICK HERE to get a Library Card).
- Commit to 10 hours per week to study and complete coursework.
