Volunteer Opportunities
We have volunteer opportunities at all the three branch library locations as well as through the Friends of the Library. Volunteers assist with tutoring, homework help, shelving materials, and many other tasks. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one hour per week for six months.

Founded in 1968, the Friends of the Chula Vista Library is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the support of the Chula Vista Public Library and the Heritage Museum through advocacy, fundraising and volunteerism.

The Chula Vista Public Library Foundation was created a as non-profit, charitable foundation for the purpose of helping raise additional funds from the community and to involve area business professionals, philanthropists, and community members with the Library and its vital community programs.
