Permit is valid for two years from date of issue.

YOU MAY NOT OPERATE IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA WITHOUT A VALID POLICE CONTROLLED LICENSE/PERMIT.

ALL EMPLOYEES must have a permit to work in Pawn Shop which must be renewed annually. 

ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Required Documents/Fees

• Pawn Shop Owner Renewal Form
• Money Order or Cashier's Check for $300.00, payable to Department of Justice
• $20,000 Surety Bond
• Copy of Financial Statement confirming $100,000 in the form of liquid assets.
• Check, Cash, Credit Card, or Money Order:
  • $100.00 renewal fee payable to the City of Chula Vista
• Copy of government I.D.
