Need to file a Police Report?

NON-EMERGENCY REPORT FILING:
Online reporting for non-emergencies: Eligible incidents include harassing phone calls, hit and runs, identity theft, lost property, theft of property, theft from a vehicle, vandalism, and vehicle tampering. Click here to begin the online reporting process.
For all other non-emergency police reports, please call 619-691-5151.
Need a copy of a Police Report?
Request a copy of a police report in person during normal business hours (Monday-Friday; 8am – 5pm) excluding holidays.

Required information needed to provide a copy of a police report (complete the Request Form linked below or send a request on a sheet of paper and include the information below):
Date of incident
Time of incident
Location of incident
Parties involved
Incident report number (if known)
Copy of photo identification (required for reports).
Report Request Forms
Most requests are processed 10-14 business days from the date of the request. Please email Police Support Services if you have any questions on how to request a report.
Cost
There is a $1.00 charge for a copy of a police report (including traffic collision reports). Please make check or money order payable to “City of Chula Vista."
