Pharmaceutical Waste Disposal Options
Pharmaceutical waste such as steroids, prescription and nonprescription drugs, antibiotics and hormones present a danger to family members and pets. Here are a few ways to properly dispose of unwanted medicine.
1). Mail-back envelopes available free at Chula Vista pharmacies
- Pick up a FREE TakeAway mail-back envelope at a participating pharmacy, its easy and convenient. Proof of residency in Chula Vista must be provided pharmacy staff.
- Place the medication in the TakeAway postage-paid envelope, seal it, and mail it back for environmentally responsible disposal.
- This program is limited to (5) five mail-back envelopes per resident per year
