Open Space District 20
The district was formed in 1989 to pay for costs for maintenance of open space lots of natural or landscaped open space within the boundary of Rancho Del Rey property including Sectional Planning Area (SPA) I, II, and III. The district is comprised of nine zones. The facilities and items of maintenance by zone designation are as follows:

Maintain the drainage system within Rice Canyon including the maintenance of the drop structures and desilting basin. |

Maintain landscaping and irrigation system areas associated with the Rice Canyon Open Space area. The zone is comprised of 6.0 acres of non-irrigated slopes, 47.9 acres of non-irrigated/preserve slopes, 0.04 acres of turf and 1.7 acres of ornamental plants. |

Maintain landscaping and irrigation system improvements in designated public street areas of East “H” Street generally fronting the Rancho Del Rey subdivision. |

Maintain landscaping and irrigation system improvements in designated open space easements adjacent to streets in the Rancho Del Rey Business Park SPA I, Phase 1. The zone is comprised of 3.7 acres of irrigated slops, 3.0 acres of non-irrigated slopes, 0.1 acres of turf and 4.7 acres of ornamental plants. |

Maintain landscape improvements, walls, and fending within SPA I, Phase 2-6 including open space easements and areas within the public right-of-way of Otay Lakes Road. |

Maintain landscape improvements, walls, and fending within SPA I, Phase 2-6 including open space easements and areas within the public right-of-way of Otay Lakes Road. |

Maintain landscape improvements within portions of SPA I south of East “H” Street and SPA III including open space easements and areas within the public right-of-way of Telegraph Canyon Road that abut SPA III. The zone is comprised of 7.5 acres of irrigated slopes, 42.6 acres of non-irrigated preserve slopes, 0.95 acres of turf and 19.9 acres of ornamental plants. |

Maintain, repair, and replace a desilting basin located offsite of the area of the Rancho del Rey land downstream and northwest of the Rancho del Rey, SPA II subdivision between Surrey Drive and Williams Hill Road (“Gabian Drainage Structure”), together with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the access road. |

To pay for a share of the cost of maintenance of the Telegraph Canyon drainage channel. |
